Aerial photography is quickly becoming popular, especially in taking pictures of mines, islands, agriculture construction and land planning. This has led to a lot of service providers joining in the field. Because of this, it is possible to end up with a service provider who will only give you substandard photos when what you are looking for is quality.
To land a good aerial photographer therefore, look at the following:
1. The Equipment Used
In as much as other things also come into play, the most important thing to look at when it comes to aerial photography is the equipment they have. This is because; aerial photography is more of altitude and clarity than anything else. In as much as you will care about the angle and style, what you care about the most is the fact that you get the picture at the right height with the best clarity. No amount of skill can give you this; the equipment is what guarantees this.
2. The Service Provider’s Portfolio
Having checked the equipments used and are satisfied that they are right for the job, ask for the service provider’s portfolio. Are the pictures they have taken any good? What did their customers think about their service? How long did it take them to deliver results? At this point, your main concern is quality in terms of skill. Remember that you do not just want a clear picture, you also want an attractive picture that will capture attention. This can only be guaranteed by the skill of the photographer.
3. Their Customer Service
This is a tricky one to determine. Considering the fact that most people go out of their way to make a good first impression, your first visit will give you the impression that their customer care is impeccable. The only way to get true views about their customer care is from other customers. Therefore, ask for reference, other people that company has worked for. The other alternatives are to look up reviews online. This will give you the true meaning or true impression of what their customer care is like.
Remember, apart from wanting the perfect aerial pictures, you also want the best treatment from them.
4. Check their Timing
This is in terms of how long it takes them to finish the work assigned. There is no point in having the best pictures there are in the line but are submitted to you three weeks after the deadline. In as much as you want the best from them, you want it done on time. To establish this, you can look at their time plan and the way they organize the whole activity. The other way to do this is to talk to the other clients they have worked for to confirm whether their photographs were delivered on time or not.
5. Check for their Reputation
Just like any other service provider in any other field, the company’s reputation also matters. The last thing you want is to work with someone who has a tinted reputation. Therefore, check out the company’s reputation and have the employees checked as well.
When you do all the following, you will not only end up with a good aerial photographer but also have fun during the shooting. There are other factors that come into play, like the price and location of the photographers. These too are important. But the ones listed above are your starting point.
