I am sure you know about the WhatsApp Web, an extension to the WhatsApp messenger. Texting people via your laptop or desktop is surely a little more comfortable for many, isn’t it?
You can text at work, with multiple tabs open, and nobody would really notice. But when someone would, well, it would be a pretty much messed up kind of situation! *winks*
How to use Whatsapp Web?
However, getting back to the topic, WhatsApp Web lets you log in to your WhatsApp account, and is a perfectly mirror image of what you use on your phone. The conversations, media files and everything else.
Initially it was hiked way more than required, but WhatsApp web seems to have taken a back seat now. So here we are, giving it a little push to make it work at a better level. The only problem is the Web version is restricted to only Chrome users! That’s how the interface supports your chats.
However, its not really a very big deal. Everyone’s more inclined to Chrome only, a better giant it seems to be.
The Scope if the App
WhatsApp Web will obviously not get to be so much popular as the messenger, but it surely needs a little more recognition that it has got. Out of the 800 million users, I wonder how many actually use WhatsApp web as well?
WhatsApp is a cross platform that lets you connect to people worldwide, and charge nothing for the first year, and a negligible amount of one dollar from the next! Pretty cheap it comes, isn’t it?
From pictures to videos and voice clips to locations, share almost any multi media with WhatsApp. Everything is instant and all the more faster.
Group chats are always fun, isn’t it? Talk, share, and a lot more!
The messaging scheme seems to be so real. The typing, the push notifications and everything else is just perfect!
Now the Question Arises, why WhatsApp Web, or why not?
A YES, because may be it would be a better way to communicate. The voice calls and everything will be fun on the desktop or laptop, isn’t it? For many, it would be a better way of communication with a keyboard, receiving messages and notifications without having to open the app! Those who use more of laptop and desktops, will find this one a better way for accessing the messaging app!
A NO, because some would prefer to restrict their usage to their smartphones only. Even while using WhatsApp web you need to have your phone connected to the internet throughout. Also, WhatsApp web is available only for the chrome users, and not IE 8, or Firefox.
So there’s good, there’s bad, and there’s comfort and discomfort too! WhatsApp web is a blessing to those who remain more inclined to their computers and laptops, and seem to have forgotten their phones elsewhere while doing so. Some prefer it, while others don’t!
WhatsApp is indeed a very much workable and usable app for many, and so is the WhatsApp web. Nothing comes with all good, and no bad, Though you cannot directly change you Profile Pictures of Whatsapp Status from them!
A matter of choice, and also availability it is!
