We consume B12 or Cyanocobalamin every day in our diets as long as we eat healthy and it has many benefits that range from improved cellular maintenance to relief from fatigue. If you have ever had an energy drink, you will notice that B12 is one of the things they add on top of the caffeine that you are consuming. Physicians will ask that some of their patients take B12 or Cyanocobalamin supplements to help protect their bodies from endothelial damage caused by sickle cell anemia. It is considered an important component in the health of these anemia sufferers as sickle cell is caused by scythe shaped cells that are abnormally formed within the body. These cells do a lot of damage and can be hard to control without proper care.

It has been discovered that Alzheimer patients have lower amounts of B12 in their systems with promotes the confusion and cognitive degeneration caused by Alzheimer’s. Anemia and Breast Cancer are also seen as being caused by a deficiency in Cyanocobalamin or B12.

As with anemia, B12 is an important part of treatment as well as a preventative measure, Breast Cancer is not helped with B12 after it has been discovered but instead B12 is suggested for prevention.
